  • Welcome to the MSc Computing home
This course is intended to offer postgraduate study in computing for those who have a substantial background in computing but who do not have a first degree in computer science- for example, those with a joint honours degree in computing and some other subject. It is not intended, by itself, to be a 'conversion' course for those with no background in the subject. However, those who successfully complete our one-semester Graduate Certificate in Computing are eligible for entry on to the MSc Computing.

  • Student review of the course
A review on the course made by a MSc Computing student on www.uniguru.com - a study abroad site for Indian students:
"During my time here in the UK I have developed excellent computing, analytical, communication and presentation skills. I have also built up a good rapport with my lecturers. Today, thanks to the belief my lecturers showed in me, I feel much more confident about myself and about my future aspirations... After completing my MSc Computing I look forward to staying on and doing a PhD."

  • New MSc Computer Science
From September 2009, we are planning to offer a new "sibling" course entitled MSc Computer Science for applicants who have a first degree in computer science, software engineering, computing or an equivalent. Applicants with extensive and relevant work-related experience are also actively encouraged to apply.

  • Why you should take this MSc Computing or MSc Computer Science
    • Our MSc Computing/Computer Science degrees will equip you to be an IT professional for over 90% of the computing/IT jobs advertised in the UK (e.g. see ITJobWatch statistics for the "Developer job" job title at http://www.itjobswatch.co.uk/jobs/uk/developer.do).
    • While "Computing" is a versatile degree title and "Computer Science" a classic one - both retain recognisable and long lasting value in job markets worldwide - both in industry and academia.
    • Development of excellent knowledge and skills in software, databases, and web application development as well as project management.
    • Flexible choice of modules and study time patterns (full-time, part-time day, and part-time day-evening).
    • Research-led projects open avenues to PhD studies.

  • Have a query or want to apply
If you are interested in any of these courses please apply early as there are only a limited number of places.
Should you have any query please don't hesitate to contact the university admission office at admissions@londonmet.ac.uk, or the course leader Dr Quan Dang at q.dang@londonmet.ac.uk
